This third volume of the history of The RCR recounts its exploits between the reestablishment of the peacetime army in 1946, to the eve of the war in Afghanistan in 2001. It follows the story of The RCR in Canada during the Korean War, in Western Europe with NATO, and in the ongoing Service of Peace in Cyprus, the Middle East, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Africa, and the Balkans. Throughout, this volume chronicles the changing composition and employment of the Regiment and its personnel as they adapted to the changing global situation, the evolving nature of military operations and technology, and new conditions of military service that expanded the diversity and inclusion in its ranks.
